In January 2010 the Foundation once again sponsored a climate change event, this time organized by the Alberni Environmental Coalition. Dr. Richard Hebda, a renowned botanist, provided a fascinating lecture on the effects that climate change, or more specifically a rise in temperature, will have on the flora and fauna of Vancouver Island.
