Starting in 2027, the newly established "R. Gary McCaig Bursary" will provide a one-thousand-dollar bursary to a student at SD70 Pacific Rim or at SD47 qathet SD Powell River who is entering the field of Engineering at a post secondary institution.
The AVCF now administers six Bursaries (including this new one) which each year provide Bursary funds totalling over $13,000 per year to local students.
